Accelerator cutting out when headlights turn on

Hey all when i turn my headlights on or the auto headlights turn on, my accelerator cuts out briefly even on cruise control this happens, doesn't happen when the car is stationary and revving up only when driving making it hard to try diagnose. Kinda lost on where to start to find the issue any help would be great

The wiring diagram (google) and do some testing with a multimeter might help as well.

Sounds like an I/O conflict. It'll be difficult to diagnose yourself, especially if you're not technically inclined. It might be one of those times you have to bight the bullet and go to Toyota for repairs.

I would be looking for a poor earth connection. The current being consumed by the head lights is probably creating a voltage drop which will compromise other circuitry ability to ground effectively.

Also confirm your alternator is maintaining its charging output when head lights are on.

cheers guys got it all sorted turned out to be shorting out on the taillight globe
