Query: Bluetooth Search on Fujitsu Ten PZQ600-00535

Evening all,

I have a Fujitsu Ten PZQ60-00535 that was installed as standard in my 2013 SR5.

Up until recently I have never seen an option to select 'Search' or 'Tracks' when using my iPhone via bluetooth; but since upgrading to iOS12 these options appear quite often. The problems is that I can not work out the reason why they appear sometimes (and work) and other times they do not. It is driving me mad; when they were never there I didn't mind, but now I know I can have the functionality and it doesn't always work it is really annoying.

The manual says these options 'may not be displayed, and operations may not function depending on the portable device type'. But doesn't give any indication on how to get them working if the device is compatible.

Any assistance to solve my dilemma would be greatly appreciated.

Are these options available when you are driving?
Some features will not work when your driving.

If you decide to sell it, let me know? This is the model I am trying to get to upgrade mine.

Yes. Sometimes it just plays the songs that you were playing without giving you the 'Search' and 'Tracks' buttons, and sometimes the buttons are there so you can change albums or playlists whilst driving. That's what I am trying to work out, why sometimes the options are there and other times they are not.

I was planning on upgrading but haven't yet; I will let you know if things change :)

My 2011 came new fitted with a Fujitsu Ten AVN726EA, I have never been able to search or do anything but PLAY via Bluetooth from either my current iPhone 6SE or the iPhone 4 before it. I had to select stuff on the iPhone itself. When plugged into the USB port via an iPhone cable I have full control of the iPod part of the iPhone.
When I get back in the car later today I’ll try Bluetooth audio and see what I have.

Tried it this afternoon (iPhone updated over the last few days). No Search or Tracks options, but RANDOM now works on Bluetooth and never did before, so driving home I got a selection of ACDC, Cold Chisel, Pink, Creedence, George Thorogood etc.

It is weird isn't it HK1837; keep trying and you might get the option. I have tried every combination I can think go to get it to work every time; like starting the car, making sure the device is connected, pressing the play button on the display and then it will work, but then out of the blue that combination doesn't work. I was so shocked the other day when it first worked, we have an iPod hooked up to the stereo but that doesn't allow you to play Apple Music, so we switched over to the iPhone (I was driving and my wife was controlling the device) and was expecting to have to control it from the device but all of these options just popped up that were never there before. They are all described in the manual, but I assumed the bluetooth module in the stereo wasn't compatible with Apple products, but it must be, sometimes.
