Remote locking indicator flash

I have a 2006 SR5 that in the last week or so only flashes the indicator lights when it locks, but not when it unlocks. Anyone had this happen and know the cause?

Mine does that also. I think it always has though. I'd say it was by design so that if you were in a car park and an attacker wanting to pinch your car could watch it for the flashes as you got near and steal the keys.

May be over dramatic but that's my theory and I'm sticking to it. [emoji6]

Its supposed to flash twice. The second flash is an 'answer back' confirming that the doors are unlocked.

Either the unlock detection switch on the door lock assembly is cactus or you've unplugged the Driver side seatbelt connector (this is the path to ground for the door unlock detection)

I couldn't remember what mine did, so I just went out a tried, one flash for unlock, one flash for lock.
