I'm looking to install a USB charger in my 2011 SR hilux and noticed in the electrical diagrams there is a power outlet (this is in addition to the cig lighter) and from what i can gather it is connected in SR5 models.

I've figured out the relay isn't there in the SR models but the fuse is, so i was wondering if any one knew if the relay is the only thing missing. I can't seem to find another connector either. Cheers

I just ran separate cables (fused in Aux fuse box) to the dash (near the cig Plug) and another to the back of the centre console, directly from the battery. Didn't find any cables to tap into (although didn't look too hard) so I just ran new 4mm cable into the cab. Back of the console just drilled holes to install a dual USB port.
That way when I'm out camping I can charge iPhone / kids ipads overnight with no key in. Only uses a small amount of power so no fear of draining battery.
Mine is an SR too...

Thanks for the reply, I'll have more of a dig around over the weekend but i was hoping all i would have to do is find the output connector and add a relay.

Yeah I just ran a dedicated, fused cable, too. No point mucking around, IMO.

anyone have an idea where the relay is located?

Bit late but the relay location is below the steering wheel on the left hand side. It’s a double sided panel so you need to get to the back and you will see the missing relay location. Top left corner from memory (looking from the front)
I did it on my SR and have the original panel and it works fine.
