G’day blokes

Just wondering about putting a 2010 SR5 Dash Gauge Unit (1st Picture) would fit into a 2005 Sr? (2nd picture) and would the odometer change to the 2010 odometer kms? And would it matter if go from a auto to a manual?

They look to be the same cluster so I would say it would fit. And as far as I have read the gauge cluster is the bit that stores the information in regards to the km's so it will transfer the k's from the 2010 cluster I believe

I think you are rite about where the information is stored
Toyota replaced my cluster and had to send the new one to an instrument crowd to have the mileage set in it

I swapped out my SR cluster for an SR5 And all is good. Km are not right and there are guys who can adjust if you send both clusters to them. SR only has one plug in the cluster, SR5 has two and the plug is just sitting there to hook up.
If you're up for it, the new cluster allows you to change the centre clock for the SR5 one and with very basic mods get all the mileage info, temperature, etc. I did that also as I bought it at the same time as the cluster.
