Parkers Always on Normal ?

Parkers Always on Normal ?

Postby lerroy on Thu, 05 Oct 2017 6:52 +0000

Hi all

I picked up a 2007 Hilux SR dual cab, with toyota steel bar.

I noticed today that the parkers on the headlights are always on with iginition, the lights on the bullbar are also on (wired together I guess)

Is that normal ?

if not is there an easy fix to allow the parkers to be only on when you switch them on via the stick.

Thanks

As creaky says - very common/mandatory modification for mine vehicles

May not be easy to reverse depending on how they have done it and how confident you are at finding the modification
You will just need to find where they have run an ignition wire to your lights
They may have done this by adding a jumper at the fuse box or just running an ignition wire to the headlight cluster -
Test it first then disconnect it. It can be a handy mod in certain environments - keep the wire there and reconnect if required

Thanks

I've actually like it, found it pretty handy no need to change back. I wired my reverse camera into taillights as they are always on and my head unit allows the camera to be activated via a button which is a bonus :)

So I'll leave as is thanks for help though :)
