Alarm/Immobiliser

Postby Mick.H. on Thu, 28 Sep 2006 10:06 +0000

I have been in contact with DGA insurance and they quoted me $123/month for insurance cover, which is a bit more than I expected when Roly says he only pays $70/month, but i guess the extra is the price you pay for living in Sydney.

The did however say that I must have either an alarm or immobiliser fitted to the vehicle for cover to be accepted. So what sort of an alarm or immobiliser do people have fitted to their '05/'06 Hilux's.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Mick,

DGA insure me for about $80 per month which covers all of my gear, I got asked that question too, but once they found out about my factory fitted immobiliser, it was all good.

Speaking of that, I better give them a call to put my roof top tent onto the contract :(

Dave,

Are you saying that I already have an immobiliser, factory fitted? Would that be the case on the SR as well as the SR5?

Thanks for your help.

Mick

It's that little flashing red light on the lower right of the dash, all models have them.
