Miccon TT Question

Miccon TT Question

Postby dabdo on Mon, 06 Oct 2008 6:37 +0000

Hey Gang,

Just a quick question about the plug and play Miccon TT. Just installed my P&P TT on my 08 SR hilux, following the instructions. TT works, idiling the car after switching off (for the set time). I havent seen the engine warning light illuminate (but from previous posts this was only an issue on non P&P TT - i think). But my ABS indicator light illuminates for a few seconds, then switches off. Have I installed the TT incorrectly? Should I remove it if it is affecting the ABS system?

Any advice would be welcomed (oh, have also emailed newpro-tech but wanted to get some info via first hand users of TT on hilux)

Thanks in advance for your replys.

Cheers Dave

Dave, when is the light coming on? U didn't mention if it was when u turn on the car or when the TT takes over.

Hey KTM,

thanks for letting me know. Not so worried now. How long you had your TT, any dramas yet?

I've also had mine for a few months now (not plug & play) and other than failing my first install attempt it's been faultless.

Just an update.

Love the Miccon TT styling etc, but issue with ABS indicator light coming on after you switch off and timer take over (light satys on for few seconds - like when you start the car) urks me a bit (i know obsessive/a#$#nal/pedantic etc). Have any other newhilux.net members had issues with other TT (e.g. bogaard) - partciulalry where you have ABS on your hilux?

Bogaard say their TT do not do this

Hi Dave,

No you will not have that problem with our timer. There are no compromises with the electrics except the remote central locking which is disabled during the timer idle period only. The timer for this vehicle is 725/HL05 and it plugs in.

If this is the case, I think I will be getting the Bogaard TT (but I really like the styling of the Miccon TT)
