Ran through with a multimeter again and found everything is reporting correctly.
Clutch is definitely connected.
I think you mentioned E6-3 in one of your posts, not sure what that is for.

Guys I've been on this for a little... my challenge:

I've got a 2.5 2KD-FTV (Manual, intercooled turbo) with manual airco and no cruise.
I've used a maglite to check the dash... NO cruise icon there
I've checked the clutch and brake pedal
- clutch has a signle switch installed
- brake has a double switch installed

my ECU reads:
Engine Control
Totota
89661-0KW60
MB275900-3056 12V
Denso
Spain

Unfortunately the plugs aren't the same, so the pictures with the pinouts aren't of any use to me
It seems like a shame to plug in an aftermarket cruise if all switches are in place.

Nader, just as I do you'll need to try and find a mapping of your ECU. Schematic.
If it has a Cruise Control port that gives 12V when nu cruisecontrol is connected you stand a good chance stuff if possible.

For your ecu it seems to be the trick to find E13-2

Now just to find ONE right wire on the ecu and i could build a simple test board on the passenger seat.

Basically...... if i read it correctly..

Drive the car
1 tap ground with a <1 Ohm wire and cruise is activated (just short it to ground essentially)
2 tap a ~640 Ohm resistor with the other leg to ground and the speed should be set.
releast the pedal.... you might be on cruise now!!

short tap to ground again to set cruise off.....

Conclusion:

I've bought a 1 hour tech access to toyota tech website.
I've found Electrical Wiring Diagram for my 2kd-ftv (variable turbo and DPF) engine.

0 references that show this engine is ever delivered with cruise control.
However it's predecessor 1kd-ftv is.... I've managed to map all terminals on the ECU and soldered a small board with 1 <1 Ohm button (straigh pull to earth) and 1 buttton with 620 Ohm button (resistor inline).

This should 1 enable cruis 2 set speed.

I've managed to find the empty port on the ECU (E31-14) which had 12V to it. I managed to check the workings of the brake and clutch connections to ecu (12V and 0 volt when brake or clutch is pressed).

All seems to be electrical correct, I suspect the software for the 2kd-ftv simply doesn't read the values of the voltage divider (as in, no cruise software installed)

Also I've found an empty terminal for the 'cruise on' led and never measured 12V here. Thereby assuming that pulling the Cruise Pin (e31-14) to earth doesn't activate the cruise control (makes sense if the software isn't there)

It still feels odd that there is 12V available on the cruise port, putting it to ground over 611Ohm and measuring voltage drop over that 611 ohm I read ~6Volts. meaning there is an internal voltage divider.

Why wouldn't the software be there.....

Just an guess.... might it be that in Europe it's obligatory to have a indicator that cruise is on, thereby it will boot the ECU and light all leds in dash while measuring voltage over the internal resistor. As the cruise led isn't lit it will always measure 0V over the internal resistor and it might set CRUISE=NO in memory rendering the function unavailable... (I've never programmed an ECU but in a normal computer such an initialisation makes sense).

I'm now considering connecting my CRUISE LED port (currently has no wire) to the wire of one of the other LEDS (for example the 'DPF cleaning" led..) instead of 1 internal resistor it will now have 2 internal resistors. Voltage drop will be the same but current will double, I'd not want to burn out one of my other leds.

Did anyone build a LED attached to an ECU output themselves? What kind of led?

How did you end up, I've got the same engine!

This page has given me all the info I needed to get my cruise working. Car is a kun16 2011 3LD. All the wiring and clutch and brake switches were already pre wired. Bought the stalk from aliexpress, fitted it and it didn't work. Read through this page and did some tests. Think it was boxhead55 with all the right info. You need to check resistance on pin E5-21, which is the cruise input. If your not getting any reading when the cruise button is pushed, you need to add or upgrade the earth on pin 2 behind the clock Spring. Pin 1 goes to E5-21 pin 2 is the earth, but mine was not getting back to the ECU. I just pulled back the insulation on the White/black wire (pin 2) and ran another earth to a chassis point. Then IT WORKS!

If you have a DENSO Spain ECU with 6 connections that look like the stuff in my earlier posts it will likely not work.
If you do get it working I'd love to know how... I wen't quite deep digging it all out.....

Behind the glovebox you'll find the ecu. Using a cellphone you should be able to photograph the label on the side.

I have a KUN25 (with a 2.5liter EURO5 turbo engine, manual gearbox) was sold as 'GX', meaning it has coloured bumpers, alloy wheels, airco etc.

to find all terminals

If it's a 2KD-FVT i'm affraid it's not possible (as far as I could figure out)

Ok, i did. but unfortunetly its a 2KD-FTV. But my ECU is different than yours xychix. Mine looks like the one posted before by boxhead55. Any possibility to make mine works?

give it a try. E5-21, measure if you see 12V at that pin.
for me it was another pin and it gave power, nevertheless cruise wasn't available.

BTW IF e5-21 is already wired (green I believe) it's likely just adding the stalk to the steering wheel (~29$ on ebay) and giving it a good earth in the steering column...
