Yeap I think that way too.. I just figure out that there is no voltage at combination meter pin C8-28 (cruise light) to ground.. Mayb there is no led installed inside my combination meter.. I'll try to check on it..

question. is there a place in the ECU where this might be activated? i've asked this before, but i havn't gotten any definite answer on my question yet.

i know vw's have the ability to activate/deactivate loads of crap in the ecu.

So far, i manage to get cruise light to on and off Meweejun :P :P .

But then, there's nothing can't operate the cruise   , don't know what the problem it is..
Need to figure it out again...Maybe need to activate.. Think so..

the switch itself looks identical to the one i've got. so i'm assuming it works the same. but there are more parts in that lot then when i bought my switch, it only came with the switch, short wire between the switch and the steering column. and the cover plate with the approprate cut-out.

Been having a read through, doesn't look like my ECU supports cruise control.
The part number on the side of the ecu is
89661-0k200 (2005 SR Manual single cab)

Can others chime in here with there ECU so we can get a list going of who has factory cruise and who doesn't? It would be interesting to see and literally takes 30 seconds to check the part number.
