Guys,

I bought the Fortuner OEM Mirrors awhile back and installed the following

Ebay item number 161282045549 & 160884086075

After changing the Mirrors and Factory Switch to the Fortuner switch , my mirrors now Auto open and close when lock and unlocking,

I can also manually close if offroad and dont want them smashed, also very good for when shopping and dont want some nut tagging my mirrors

Cheers

SB

The second add says you'll need motorised mirrors from factory?..

I was looking at this earlier and didn't know that motorised mirrors were available, certainly not seen any over here on a MK6

Guys

i bought the OEM Fortuner Mirrors from Thailand genuine items, and installed them , then used the switch and control box, was about a 650 USD exercise but for me in the Sydney City was very well worth it

Cheers

SB.

I am interested in this and found the mirrors on Ebay. Did you also get the switch that adjusts the mirrors and has the button to fold them? If so, was all this plug and play? I'll do the upgrade if everything just plugs in, I don't want to run wire or cut wire to get folding mirrors.

That's what's listed for the first eBay item number posted.

Everything is plug n play mate. The reason I did all this is my mum in laws corolla has this all as factory, you'd have thought Tojo wld have done it for a 50k plus 4x4 :)

There are lots of things toyota should have done from factory, especially the SR5

The mirror listing says:

Please note, there is no mirror in this item. In order to install this item, your car must have a motorize electric folding side mirror from factory.

I now realize where the $650 price comes from, requiring new mirrors. I'll try to find the listing for the actual mirrors.

Adam , yes mate i did, i figured that the 700 odd spent was well worth considering if some pretzel destroys a mirror, im up for that anyway.......

So now when out , they auto close when vehicle is locked :)

And yes its something the SR5 should have as standard mate...... in fact i think Leather should be standard on the SR5 and a Sunroof lol ,,,,,,

but ill get WEBASTO to do a sunroof through winter........
