External mic for blue tooth head decks

Postby boxhead55 on Tue, 29 Oct 2013 6:29 +0000

Hi all fitted a few of thease now for f10 head decks. Work a treat
Fit the mike on top of the steering wheel column cover so you basically Speak straight into it

Have part numbers if you are all interested.

I have one now my wife tells me is so much better. ( she would know!)

Give them the part number that is in the pic in the post and also let them know it is a f10 part number not a toyota one

It is a Fujitsu 10 part number so your local toyota dealer will have to order from them

Just remember you have to have the 28 pin plug in the rear or your head unit for this external mic to work for you. So best you remove and check first.

Thank you. Not sure on how to post picture. But I have a 28pin plug near antenna. I do not have a plug tho. I'll just solder it on. Is there any where in settings that we have to tell head unit we have a external mic like on a clarion unit?

Thank you for your advice

Mick,
Boxhead is talking about the white plug that goes into the rear of the radio. You can actually "open" the plug to insert the relevant wires/pins.

What radio do you actually have in you 'lux ?
Cheers,

I have scored radio from my brothers hilux for my 2006 lux. His is q60-00535

I want to hook up external mic and reverse camera. Not sure if antenna is same or radio is digital. I have ordered adapter for radio

Thank you

I think the 2006 models only had the 20 pin plugs, whereas your radio definitely has the 28 pin. If so then I believe you will need a harness to convert. This has been covered previously, so do a search and you should find all the info you need.
