just had the same issue, after losing the greykey and destroying my black key (broke the plactic bit then welded a washer to the metal part to so i could turn it in the barrel) i was quoted $990 to come and cut 2 keys and code them in. rang toyota, they wanted more and to change the key barrel and door locks blah blah$$$$.
i found a lock smith in perth. took in my handful of plastic bits and weded up key, they cut me a new key and put a new plastic bit on with my old chip. they also cut me a another key.
cut and replace plastic button bit $80
complete replacement of grey key $150.
A1 locksmiths in morley. really good service.

Sorry to dig up an old thread guys.
Our 2006 sr only has a valet key (grey one) and was wondering who is best to see in Melbourne about getting additional key?

Got a new master key supplied and cut today. $250 all up including an immobiliser reset.

Very good, prompt mobile on-site service from Mikes Auto Keys based in Carrum Downs. PH 0403867108 or his Facebook Page.

He said from 2008 onwards the only option was the dash out $900 job.

I know this is an old topic but adding another for anyone searching for a solution.
I only had the grey Valet key for a 2009 SR and just had a new key and remote cut and programmed by Gronbek Security in Welshpool Perth.
Remote control key cut and programmed - $250
Non remote key - $135
They said they can perform a reset of the system and then introduce a new master if needed. Not sure the price.

Toyota quote
$400'ish for a new key ECU + $250 for a new key

Hopes this helps someone out there.
