Cruise control wiring urgent!

Cruise control wiring urgent!

Postby Diezel45 on Sat, 05 Jan 2013 8:02 +0000

Ok, so my 2011 hilux has just started surging and having massive power loss and I have done a bit of reading and a few people have had the exact problem and it has turned out to be a malfunction in the cruise control even when it is switched off. So the fix has been to unplug the cruise control and plug it bag in which "reboots" it.
But as I have no idea where the plug is, I was wondering if someone could tell me or upload photos of where it is so I can unplug it?
Thanks heaps

I have an 07 with cruise, but cannot find what fuse controls this function.
Next step is to just disconnect the battery for a few hrs and see if this resets it.
Sounds a bit drastic, but disconnecting the battery is sometimes quicker than spending hrs trying to find which fuse to pull.

Some cruise systems will not engage if a rear brake light globe is broken. The systems see it as a brake failure. Check your lights.
