SR HILUX Driving Lights

Hi,

First Post.

I own a 2008 2wd SR Hilux, V6/a- It does not have the fog light indicator stalk

It has the wiring for the fog lights available (fuse but no relay)

I have searched but cant find the information necessary

I have located the small green & black wire & pink wire on the indicator stalk, Im guessing pink is light illumation & green black is park (maybe)

I realise I need a relay to run the fog lights as it doesn't seem available

Am I best to use the wiring supplied & just splice the fog lights in outside of the fuse box.. or is there a proper way to utilise the wiring already installed.

I have wired up plenty of independant fog lamp relays so I am not shy in electrical wiring, I just would like to avoid pulling all the insulation off my new hilux and searching.

Thanks for any help

Just to confirm, I have tried to ground the green & black wire with no luck.

Any help? There is plenty of threads but none with solid information on using the factory harness.. I can easily wire up the seperate relay if necessary just rather keep the engine bay neat as it is now

Went through the same when i fitted my bull bar. You should find the wiring/plugs for the fog light ties up under the bumper on the harness.. red/white and white/black. On the steering column i think there was two green/black, find the one that has power on it when you turn your parkers on and ground it. Ill have to double check but thats pretty much what i did. Got a 08 4x4 d4d

Cool, Thanks

So basically Tee a wire off it and run it to ground?

Might have picked the wrong green/black wire

Ive just purchased from a toyota dealer the fog light kit for a 2006 SR5 Hilux, goes in the bottom of the bumper.

comes with the 2 lamps, a push switch to go in the switch panel as it doesnt have the stalk option, and a couple of wiring looms. but no wiring diagram or instructions.

so does anyone have a wiring diagram they can post up or a link to one.

Picking from what Uive read the harness to the lamps is up under the bumper and I just have to join the new loom that has the plugs etc to that.

Also in the loom I got there is a relay and fuse all wired into the loom, so hopefully someone can help me out.

cheers
