Other info:

Sorry about the fun fishing photos, I'll have to take more pics of my hilux's jaunts. You just get into it & do it & forget about capturing it on pics.

As for the cod we catch, we only take brag snaps and let them go. Bar one, it was that damn hot one spring time in western NSW, 47C at 9.00am, the fish I caught on a lure died within seconds. The neighbours enjoyed him! I felt too bad to eat him, he wasn't suppose to die, damn it.

The DualCab 05 Hilux I use for work (in the bush western NSW) needs a lift kit for sure! And big problem when driving through stony country or even compacted dust or mud, inner fuel tank guard fills, pushes out, then rubs against tailshaft housing. Noisy so & so. I'm forever climbing under car & cleaning out debris & hammering tank guard back into place. Anybody ever have this problemo?
Cheers
Jacq

G'day Doinit, cheers mate. No longer in Broome thank god!! Yeah the Lightforce is a common problem on the ARB bar, I might look at the XGT's to see if they sit in the bar a little better. Give me a bit and I'll update the photos, those one's are pretty old and they were taken before the mods were all finished. Brett

I too can recomend the dtronics... the other adjustable chips seem to cause more issues with limp home mode... dtronic seems a safe upgrade without the temptation to go to far.... Any free flowing exhaust helps, 2.5 - 3" from turbo back will do. Mine gave me more usable revs down low. AT wont kick back a gear untill around 1400rpm now, will continue pulling at 1600rpm really well. Just my 2 cents worth...

Doinit, well mate I can tell you that my battery is AGM and weighs 30kg's. The tray was a cheapie and the dickhead (ABR) just bolted it onto the arch. I have since had the installation modified to take the weight. (see my pics of tray and new support). I made a HUGE mistake letting the person (ABR- www.sidewinder.com.au) touch my truck. It was the only mistake I made in setting my truck. Should have got ARB Southside to fit Redarc. Cheers

TOMUCH, Thanks for your comments on the Dtronic setup. I've also been wondering if one should also go for a new exhaust system.

Doinit, Mate, the Dtronic has certainly given me more power.... how much.. well that is the question... I initialy went for the Dtronic because I have been told of its excellent customer service.... and national backup through ARB... I would have to say that I have been very impressed with the product... Before I loaded my Lux up with all the extras I fitted, it went very well... I had the Dtronic fitted at the same time as all the other mods. so I have no comparison with and without the Dtronic (Mods Fitted).. I will say that I have not noticed any lack of performance with the extra weight.... as a matter of fact I think I can feel more power than when the car was in stock mode... Mate, I can certainly recommend the Dtronic.. I have had no problems and don't expect to have any... I paid approx $1500 fitted.. Cheers Mark (TOMUCH)
