Hey guys doing a bit of research.
Wondering if anyone has any troubles connecting an obd scanner? Are they powered by an fuse etc?
Also are there any common faults for the air bag light coming on?
Cheers thanks

very common fault causing the airbag light to come on is the spiral cable (aka clock spring) inside the steering wheel.
In Au people are getting these fixed out of warranty pretty easy, also there was a recall for some year models.

you can get them genuine from Thailand on eBay but be aware there is some different models.

I know all this as I just had trouble with mine and managed to have it replaced out of warranty by Toyota, 5 years old/130000kms.
plenty of info on this site, have a search, there is even a how-to replacement.

OBD ii gets power from the connection... no extras needed.

Year model important too..
