Hi im currently in the process of wanting to set up a dual battery located in the tub of my 2015 sr5

Have been reading up a bit on the redarc chargers but im just wondering if there is much difference between the redarc bcdc1225 and the 1225lv and what the difference would be between these 2?

The REDARC BCDC1225 is a 12V 25A In-vehicle DC to DC battery charger designed to keep your battery charged whilst driving, features a MPPT solar regulator to boost power supply from solar.

The REDARC BCDC1225-LV is a 12V 25A In-vehicle DC to DC charger suitable for vehicles fitted with an ECU-controlled variable voltage alternator, and features a MPPT solar regulator.

I have the LV version in mine and never had a problem; been running for two years now I use alternator and solar charging (with a 150w panel) which works well.

Highly recommend calling the Redarc crew for any questions; I've called them a few times about different things and they have provided very good advice.

Yeah I would run with the LV since it's same price and I'm sure there would be a wire config that would set it back to the non LV version.

For what I use I'm happy with the SBI12100.
