C1201 Engine control system fault.

C1201 Engine control system fault.

Postby davo94 on Sun, 28 Aug 2016 3:50 +0000

Gday.

2013 d4d 4speed auto will throw this code and limp mode randomly.

The ute is currently at toyota for the 5th time with screen shots of the diagnostic scan Iv had done at independent techs as toyo claim nothing is wrong everytime they get it as the fault is not current but yet is still in the ecu history.

From what seems to be an Abs/Vsc issue as far as I can tell.

Any of you blokes had this drama?

I think you will find it is an intermittent fault in the ECU - I would you the usually terminals earth points and see how you go.

Toyo came back with the Yaw rate sensor. It is under the drivers seat. Time will tell I guess. It was a hard road to get any warrany help but after finally geting to talk to the head tech and working without the service manager and advisers they almost restored my faith in the brand.
