Hello my names Ken from Epping Victoria I've been 4WDing for many years first owned a Nissan Navara. But recently I had a 96 SR5 3 months ago I upgraded to a 2014 SR5 the hilux is great. I've added an arb bullbar with Warn winch, snorkel, tough dog 2 inch lift rock sliders, uhf and more. I stumbled across this great site and hope I can get a lot more ideas and tips from the many members on here. I have lots of questions but ill ask them if I cannot find it posted here already thanks for having me

Welcome Ken, geez that's nice. Good to see you've mounted your light bar to maintain air flow. Cheers MONGO.

Gday Mongo
not sure if you meant what you said or your idea of carcasm. Problem is I didn't acrually fit it that way and im not very happy with the position. I'm considering lifting the mounts up and repositioning the light bar higher.

He's being serious, many Hilux drivers have had a multitude of issues by sitting the light bar on top of the hoop and stopping air flow into the scoop for the intercooler. Welcome to the forum, nice rig, have fun.

Cheers

I thought the light bar looked good there too. Are ther any reasons why you are not happy with it there?

The brackets look similar to these that i saw on ebay

Mongo,
Sorry about doubting your advise I never actually thought about the aif low to the intercooler I assumed you were talking about the radiator airflow. After the other advice I'm going to leave it where it is thanks Ultra lux and Bob for clearing that up for me.
Gold member I got these brackets through opposite lock in Epping but sotry not too sure of the brand they are a nice solid bracket but I've noticed they are moving a little and there as tight as they can go so I'm looking into some grip tape around the bar for some added grip unless someone can suggest something else
thanks again everyone I appreciate all feedback
