ARB Commercial Bar - Slimline Light Bar

Postby BrAzZ on Thu, 30 Oct 2014 10:08 +0000

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has fit a light bar in the slot just above the winch opening in the ARB commercial bar. Looking at Pro's & con's of this spot as i assume it will restrict airflow to the radiator.

so does anyone know the dimension of the slot opening & if anyone has a light bar there could you please post a photo and details?

It's been done. With some trimming, but it has been done.

the baja stealths are 38mm high from memory and the opening is only about 30mm so trimming will be required.

I did fit a light bar in.

There was 2 parts to trim.
i) There are 2 supports in the bar that prevent the light bar from sitting deep enough into the gap. I had a mate cut them out. took 2min with a plasma cutter. piece of piss.

ii) Not sure what its called - there is rubbed finish at each end of the slit. i cut it with a knife and after i installed the bar, glued the rubbber back on - seamless.

the light bar was a single row 26.5 inch bar (from KC Works). awesome light with 10W cree's and fit perfectly.

I actually had a head on with a tree and this bad arse light took the impact which wrote my car off, ended up in a paddock 50m away and it's still going strong. getting put back on the replacement truck...

the best part about mounting the bar in this split is you need to remove the 'wings' on the guards to get access to the mounting bolts - aka too hard basket for would be thief's.

This what I did with my Sahara bar
Dtr in the bar and 9 inch led bar on top, 70w hid projector lens fogs with angel indicators and parkers/dtr to replace the crap arb fogs wired up to auto come with high beam. A set of hid driving lights and the whole combo works great

Sweet looking bar lights.
What/where from are the led 's in the slot?

Not sure they were given to me as one was not working so I cut it open and fixed it. They are pretty common off the net
