Hi there. I'm picking up a brand spanker SR duel cab Hilux tomorrow.
Will be the first new car I've owned. The dealership were trying to sign me up to a paint protection thing. I heard a spiel that all aeroplane have it at a cost of $80,000. So it must be good..
Anyone know if it's worth it or its just the dealership trying to scrape an extra few thousand out of me?
Cheers
Simon

Image Welcome to the forum Simon :D congrats on your new ute, you won't be disappointed. My opinion is the paint protection is just a revenue raiser to keep the Ming Mole in job, give her some cash so she can go to the gym and wear short skirts around the office and help flog overpriced accessories, see, the Ming Mole circle of life. Seriously, put the money into a good oscillating buff machine, use it every year (6 months if your keen) and put the money you save into some useful mods.

This forum contains an almost endless array of knowledge about the Toyota Hilux and over the years a lot of topics, questions and issues have been addressed. Don't wast your money. Hand clay bar it, seal it and wax it with good quality products. Cheers MONGO.
