Postby svend on Tue, 19 Jun 2012 10:20 +0000

Anyone know how to remove the sticker on the back of the hilux? Any hints would be helpful

There's some threads on this already I think... Just wait for a hot day and usually the stickers peel off completely if you take your time with them. Failing that you could use petrol or some other solvent that won't damage your paint to remove any excess.

Hair dryer. Just warm it up so it peels off with out melting the sticker. Then wax and grease remover to get rid of the sticky stuff. Easy.

Hey All,

Just wanted to let you know that I signed on for the rig this arvo. October delivery, but I have a house build on the go, so that will keep the days ticking over until then I hope. The dealer had no issues with me talking about what I got, so here it is:

SR5 Dual Cab Manual
Tidal Blue
All weather mats front and rear
Rubber tray mat
Tinted windows
Headlight and bonnet protectors
High capacity tow bar
Reverse Camera
$52,000 Drive away.....

Not too bad I reckon, so if anyone in Central QLD wants more info, let me know, the dealer is keen too :-)

Cheers

Seems pretty close, for an extra $300 i got a tow bar(which is normally $650) so i got mine about $3-400 cheaper

With the sticker I just used hot water and poured it on the sticker as I was peeling it off worked a treat! What does everyone reckon reasonable price on a sr single cab diesel 4by. Got a 07 sr5 dual cab ATM but tray space is killing me being a tradie.

D4D
Manual
White
Air Con
Heavy Duty alloy dropside tray (+ up grade H/D headboard; rear window protective mesh; 300mm height sides

We are in Brisbane Qld

........ then the real spend
ARB Bar
ARB Side Rails and Step
ARB 2" suspension
Safari snorkel
Window tint
Black Duck covers
Under body protection for engine and trans
Front anchor winch point
Tow bar + combination ball/pintle hitch
Mud deep dish mats

$$ ? dont ask, just sign on the line ....

.... only clocked over 6500 kms soooo tyres to come when tired of standard crap, our other vehicles seem to be having good results out of our ST Maxx's ... probably will stick to same.

This vehicle we purchased from Toowoomba Toyota + dropside by Duratray Brisbane, with Westside 4x4 for accessory fitout.
