Has anyone installed one of these?

I know it's not exactly offroading, but here we don't have any offroading!

Yea some of the trucks here use them more for the looks...reduces departure angle by much but the original cause was for avoiding sallons getting stuck under you...

Reduced departure angle suggests that it goes on the back. :? I'm pretty confident this goes on the front ;)

Not when you slide down a hill backwards :P

I have seen 2 on hiluxs.

1 snapped at the mounts due to spotties on it (200mm spotties) and the other was for looks but it looked really odd due to how far they stick out from the car

Thats what I am saying..they stick out too much in the front..maybe departure angle was the wrong term to use ;)

Yeah, front clearance affects your approach angle (as you approach stuff) and rear clearance affects your departure angle (as you depart stuff) and just for the record, ground clearance between the front and back wheels over a hump is called your break over angle...
