Im in the same boat. Want a new bar but dont know if i should get black or chrome? My lux is goldy silver so its hard to figure out what will look best. maybe i should buy my new set of rims first, most likely going black/chrome so a black bar might look good?

Black always looks good. Color coded always looks better.

Chrome bars end up looking tacky and crap after a while.

Has anyone got or seen one of the roo systems premium bullbars? They have them on sale at the moment for a very attractive price but there's not much info on them. Also any info on mcc bullbars?

Has anyone got the opposite Lock premium post or loop bar? Looks to be worthy competition for the arb deluxe bar and comes with led indicators to! I want to get one for mine but haven't seen much of them on here

All of the opposite lock bars I have seen on cars have looked to be poor quality. Every single one has had broken/falling apart indicator lights too haha

I looked at them about 6 months ago as well, but couldnt find much info. They definitely look good in photos. I havent found to many bars that match up with aftermarket flares on an SR hilux. My issue is I have the top flares but not the bumper flares so bumper cut bullbars would leave a gap there.

I'm in the same boat with the flares which is kinda leaning me towards the arb as it has the bumper infills

My MCC bullbar matches up pretty much perfect with the utemart flares. Has the bumper infills. Complete bumper replacement.

I just recently got a TJM T13 deluxe bulbar fitted to a 2013 HiLux and since having had the bulbar fitted there is a howling noise from anywhere above 80km/h. Has anyone else noticed or had this happen to theirs?

Is there anything I can do or check to make sure it is OK?

Cheers

Bullbar Photos and set ups

Postby boxhead55 on Thu, 13 Feb 2014 2:47 +0000

Yes mate this has been covered here before look under the ute there are 2 brackets that protrude into the air. Remove or drill a fuel holes in them the noise will go away. Also the lower control arm has large holes on it top and bottom out some black tape over those holes also another noise will go away. This all comes about because the toyota bull bar and the normal bumper bar directs air away from the two locations I just mentioned . Now you fitted your bar the locations are open to the elements the wind and cause this nose.

Have fun.
