I reckon there's a good 10-15kg difference between my old alloy 'Forge' bar and the ARB Sahara that I've got on now.

I love silver , chrome (obviously scratching becomes issue on lightweight chrome work).

Been meaning to ask this question for a while. I just don't get black ! (same with rims, and other bar work)

Chrome is for Rappers trucks with 28"spinning rims and limo tints. ;)

My actual honest opinion is that chrome belongs to cars which were pre-1982(ish). Chrome bumper cars can have chrome. But thats just cause I'm an old car person

Oh well each to their own! I'm definitely not a rapper truck and probably see more offroading and mint lifestyle than most !

I went black mainly because I have a black ute but also because I wanted steel rather than alloy. As for black wheels they just look cool,

Yeah i guess on a black car its a bit of a different story, you can call that "colour matched" and to my mind looks like its meant to be ... but typically i'd either go colour matched or silver / metallic look. Just normally on other colours I find black looks mining / agricultural (but very practical of course) ... looks out of place to my mind for some reason.

But i truly love the look of chrome mirrors / door handles / latches etc (and they are much more resistant to scratching than black plastic) ... but i know blokes spend a fair bit of coin "de-chroming" their cars (shoudl have bought an SR to start with?? heheh) and i just think wow really why?

Obviously overdoing it with chrome just looks tacky and stupid, but i mean basically what the SR5's come with... door handles, mirrors ... really sets off a well composed truck.

Then again I also shake my head with disbelief when people spend coin "tint" their brake lights etc (thats a different conversation entirely!) .

If / when i replace my alloy (piece of crap) bully, i'll be going silver or colour matched (white) Steel.

:) yeah i not trying to knock ! just talkin basically.. always fun to explore what differences people have I guess.

ALthough i do draw the line at "looks over practicality" ... such as tinting brake/indicator lights, or massive rims with lacky band tires ... I just think "you punce!"

Saw one in car park the other day with huge rims, lacky band low profile tyres, tinting so dark I reckon you'd be stuffed at night ... and LOWERED, with a SNORKEL, a row of spotties.

THe bloke obviously thought he could parade around town looking the business without realising she'd be bogged to the hilt in 2 seconds flat.

Anyway i digress haha

Xrox. LF xgt 240s. eBay 20" lightbar. Gme 4702 + 4705 aerials.

Thinking about chopping the hoop off and putting some hid lightforce 140s in the wings and ditching the other lights. Too many people running similar set ups nowadays haha.

This pic pushes me more towards a black bar even though I do like the colour matched ones. (My lux is the same colour as yours). At least it show's you're using it and also I'm loving the shower set up too. How do you run that?

Too late. I'd be happy to touch up the bar with a spraycan or touch up brush when needed but would have to think twice about doiung the the pin stripes of a dark car!

Big boobs vs small boobs.../ bull bars, if they were all the same we'd get sick of checking em out and wondering about different configurations/ways to use em, and if they really would be functional or just look the part!
I like em all,.....
