Hi all,
I have just replaced the timing belt in my 2006 D4d hilux.
Was an easy job until i went to turn the motor over by hand with the new timing belt on and it would not spin the full 720degrees clockwise as suggested in the workshop manual. At around 540 degrees something was stopping the rotation inside the engine (Valve on piston presumably).
So i took it off, spun the cams and crank separately, returned them to their original location, re-installed belt making sure the marks were lined up 100% correct but now it won't even spin more than about 90degrees (clockwise).
I have no idea what I have done wrong!?
If the marks are lined up correctly then why won't the bugger spin?
