I read this line:

"New pump and injectors for your common rail diesel between $8,000 to $10,000 for most models. Replace the engine $30,000 plus"

and then closed the page.

I have the diesel smart module in my lux, my old mans lux and my diesel Holden cruze. They run great more power better fuel economy. Not huge better fuel economy but it's there. Plenty more power and haven't had a single issue. I previously had a steinbauer worked great with no issues but diesel smart had more power so got one of those then got one for each vehicle. I liked them that much that I started selling them from my workshop. They have a 30 day money back. I am in the process of getting a website up of the shop where I will have a few dyno graphs of a couple different vehicles I have done myself. I have a few on Facebook search for MLC Motors. People can see for themselves the difference. That's my experience with diesel smart so far.

Cheers

Sceptical.
My TDV8 ute used to make 125kW with just an exhaust I built myself.
Those graphs tell a very different story.

Anyone here willing to be a guinea pig?

Whoever ran that Cruiser on the dyno and uploaded that sheet should be ashamed.

Ambient Air Temp = 27

Intake Air Temp = 43

The Red Run was done with an inertia factor of 100 and a ramp rate of 50,
The Green Run was done with inertia factor of 120 and ramp rate of 200...

Red run was done at 10.20 pm, but green run wasn't logged until 3.20pm 2 Days later, and somewhere inbetween they did 16 extra runs. Not exactly being used for it's main role... an ACCURATE tuning tool.

It's this kind of false advertising that makes people skeptical about "Diesel Tuning"

I lol'd at the TDV8 video clip on that site, no wonder the intake temps are as high as they are getting.
It's a top mount cooler.....with no airflow.....
Put the bonnet down and even at idle, you can feel the air being drawn through the bonnet scoop.

No details of any of those runs, even on the facebook page.
I'm sure I speak for most when I say we're not out to burn anyone, we just need more info 8-)

Anyone living in the Mackay area I would be happy to let you guys come in, run up your car on the dyno, throw our module on there and run it up again so that some reports can be done for the forums :)

Is there anything specific you want to know about our modules?

I can tell you they plug into each injector along with the MAP sensor. have control over the injectors and boost. We alter more then just injector pulse widths with our modules. They hold 4 different tunes and can be optioned to have rotary switching (to change programs) inside of the car. Tunes are not simply adding or decreasing fuel but entirely different injection timing, widths and boost.

Have a look at this dyno sheet for a hilux we did. This car had a 3" exhaust on it already. the pink is the standard run and the other 2 runs are in the towing tunes

edit: ps. our website was made sometime ago and we are updating it at the moment, new one should be up and running in about 2 weeks :)
