On last account, there was no operating dyno in Mount Isa.
When K&M sold out to Miners Mate, Adrian took it and as far as I know, has not set it up yet.
Would need at least a twin retarder dyno for that anyway, they can handle the 1000+hp it will make

But to give you an idea, we can line up for a race lol

I've been looking at the same thing for my new Hilux but haven't seen any reviews from people that have one installed so I'm interested in how you go.

Well my chip turned up today couldn't wait till days off, so knocked off at 6 straight home & in it went.

Installation was easy, except for motor being a little warm!

Out the drive way & yep definately more power got around the block nearlly home & Mr toyota said no limp mode, they are set on a setting of 7 out of 12 from factory so i went back to 4 out the driveway again seem to make more power this time, end of the street & limp mode.

I pulled the pin after that was running out of light & could here my beers calling, have emailed No limit asking if they have a setting for the D4D Hilux or weather i have gone the wrong way & 4 makes more power then 7 & I should have went to 9 or 10.

Will get back to it on Wednesday on days off to see if i can find the wright setting & report back then.

cheers

Dave06,

What you have bought and are experiencing sound exactly like the TDC chip I bought a couple years ago from the US.

Was promised the world, and ended in a watse of time and money.

It too was plugged into the common rail, on the low setting there was a slight increase in power but as soon as you kicked it down or revved it slightly more, it went straight into limp mode.

I did a thread on it years ago found at the link below...may be worth a quick read for you as a reference...I found from then that if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Guys, you know I can't join in on this thread as I am a bit biased these days but if anybody is considering fitting a chip to any Toyota diesel engine, this thread makes some very interesting reading:
http://www.lcool.org/technical/elec_die ... uning.html

You will find chip price is linked the method used to get more power. The cheaper the chip, the closer to the top of the page will be the description of your chip. The VMN chip and others which wire to each injector are closer to the bottom of the page. It was this page that led me to bring in the first VMN chip for evaluation in November ast year.

Dave 06, Looking forward to see how you go, I hope that it all works out for you and I know that there a lot of people waiting to see how these chips work with the HILUX!

Thanks for posting your info so far about the No limit Tuning Chip.

Well as max states if its to good to be true it usually is. Finally had a chance to have a play.

The chip comes with 12 different maps & yep limp mode on all 12  It has a lower setting for each map tried that & yep limp mode :o

Just as the TDC chip done to max slow acceleration was fine, it definatley increased power & torque put if I punched it or was right at top end under acceleration just before a gear change (over taking etc) yep limp mode. just what i need out hear passing a road train.

m8sr8s is still yet to try his as he was waiting on me, his is a 08 or 09 model when they stepped up to 126kw the injector rail plugs are different in that mine has 3 wires his has 6 not that i think it will make a difference time will tell.

They offer full money back guarantee so will see how that goes, lesson learnt but at that price I had to give it ago.

Hi Dave

If you want to trade in for a Chip It Performance Module, I will trade that chip for $130.00.

You need to send it into me as proof of purchase here in Sydney Office.

I will then apply the discount so you effectively are buying the Chip It brand Chip without a bad taste in your mouth for buying crap :)

I will do this for any of these low budget chips guys.

I don't want them ... just happy to see you using ours.

Cheers

Interesting, I had a 2000 model straight diesel for 5 years (bloody slug). Mid last year I drove a 06 model with a DP and was impressed, bought a 2008 model D4D in Sept and fitted one of those no limit chips in the first week.

I've had the engine light come on once since then but I run the chip on the 12 setting and have had no problems, it works fine for me.

I have fitted 2 of these chips to a Hilux and 200 series cruiser. Both units lit the check engine light. They are both being packed up now to be sent back. It is a shame because in the 200 series it is awesome.
