On the internet you can be anything you want. It is strange that so many people choose to be stupid!

Hi i have a 7/08 hilux d4d 3L, i have a no limit tuning box but the harness is for a nissan, i cant get a responce out of no limit to get a hilux harness, so i have the plugs to make my own harness but need to know what wires tee into where, if someone has a 6pin hilux harness and wouldnt mind giving me a datailed discription of what colour wires go to wat pin number on the conector box ect. so im able to make one up it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Put a no limit chip in about this time last year and have had no issues - until now. Twin cab D4D July 2008 build date.
Avid followers of this forum would have seen my input in to Bradlze thread about a diesel leak. Seems the firewall end of the common rail is leaking fuel significantly and Toyota have indicatively priced a new rail at $1800 and the injector lines at about $150 each, parts only.

Was the chip to blame?? - maybe, maybe not. Am I going to take it out right now and throw it to shithouse because I can't be sure one way or another - you bet.

To all the knockers who say I told you so - keep your negative opinions to yourself.

It worked well for the time but an expensive lesson learnt.

Well if your still intersted in a chip after you fix your lux, Chipit will offer you money for your no limit piece of crap and give you the chip it cheaper. Do dont throw it away yet. Sorry to hear about the damages though!!!

When I recieved it, it had jumpers on first 5 set of pins then a jumper on the top row of the pins 6 and 7. ie connecting the pins laterally instead of vertically. Anyone else find theirs set like this?

BTW. we have been getting a whole lot of enquiries latety about why we get more power than the opposition.

The answer to this is in the 2007+ Hilux and Prado D4-D Fuel Rail chips that come out of Europe only intercept the Primary Fuel Rail signal and do not intercept the Secondary on the 6 Wire Fuel Rail Sensor. As a result the Hilux and Prado's factory ECU correlates the Primary & Secondary signals ( ie does a self diagnostic) and when the two signals are out by more than 10% (as will be the case with those other chips) the factory ECU throws up a signal correlation Limp mode and Check Engine Light (CEL) code. The Chip It Performance ECU intercepts both Primary & Secondary signals and all value changes are made in correlation to each other, hence why we get more power than others without CEL issues.

I hope this helps explain this point clearly. Let me know if you need further info

Cheers
