TONNEAU COVERS

Postby har-v on Thu, 10 Jun 2010 5:23 +0000

Hey guys
Just wondering if anybody does know where i can find a tonneau cover without the eyelets and tiedowns that go to the side of the tray, ive seen this before but not sure where to look. Its not a hard cover and i think it clips in rails down the tray or something.
any help appreciated
cheers

My one from ute mart....Uses some rails and velcro for the sides, and a latch at the rear. Was a little painfull to get fitted in the right spot, but now its all fitted, I love it!

Haven't really ever checked if its 100% water tight, and it would be possible for very small amounts to get in on the front edge, and rear edge (just)....I think it'd be as good as most others.

$450 from memory. Spare mostly lives in the garage when driving locally. I just chuck it in the tub if I'm doing a trip and have room in it, or underneath if the tub is full of camping gear. Looks pretty ghey hanging underneath with the bodylift and being a 12.5" wide tyre, so try to limit its time in the factory spot.

Nup, hasn't shrunk at all. Only thing its done is move a little to the drivers side, but its easy enough to adjust that back, I just haven't been bothered yet.

Has anyone had one of these clip-less tonneaus adapted to allow the sports bar to stay on? Does anyone make one without tie downs or buttons to allow the sports bar to stay? Seems there's nothing on themarket yet for this in a sift cover as far as I can tell.

Twisty is this the one you own? because i see how when u roll yours up the bars go with it, where as this one i think the bars stay on the tray and only the cover rolls back? Id much prefer the one you have.

Kris,

Have you seen these ones....?

I believe they do a cover that suits for vehicles with rollbars. Not sure how much they are though, I haven't got around to getting one yet!

Cheers,

Hi guys,

I'm also looking at getting one of these alphaline tonneau covers. I was quoted $350 plus freight too. Pretty decent compared to the price of a hard lid!! :D :D

They seem really helpful and easy to deal with. Hell they even sent me a few photos of what they look like on a SR5 with rollbars.
