how r ya fellas, merry xmas and all the best for 2010,

im buying a toyota sat nav system in the next day or so, is there ne way i can make it play dvds, its coming out of a late 09 luxy, with all 2010 software. if nebody know all about these screen plz give me ne suggestions.

Talk to the guys at tower audio on warrigal road they are authorized Eclipse dealers who I am pretty sure still supply these units to Toyota ,I know when they fitted the iPod docking station to mine they said there were still extra inputs on the unit so you might just need a small DVD rom maybe in your glove box

I’m not 100% sure but everyone tells me to put a "mod" (it plugs btw the head unit and wiring) to my unit to watch DVD on the Sat Nav (only thing is that the bottom will say "check surroundings" in bright orange).
You won’t have map access since the map DVD Disc needs to be removed to watch a DVD.
Also, we all know it’s illegal to "watch" a DVD while driving.
I haven’t bother with it but would only use it to "hear" many music DVD I have.
On the other hand, there would be other better units than the Toyota Nav Sat to watch DVD in the ute.

There is a few websites around the traps that provide, various lock picks for it, ive not personally tried but i know people on prado point that have had success.
