Just wondering if anyone has upgraded their exhaust on turbo diesel models, how it sounds, and if performance is improved?

I have a 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust and i dont rekon theres much difference in performance at all. I would'nt waste my money on the next lux.I could think of other things to spend that money on.

hi i too have a dp chip and its great i have opened the exhuast up but was advised not to reduce back pressure by too much or it would lose power , so i went for 2.5 with a straight thru muffler . it could be a bit better sound but it s ok ? i too love that whistle my last toyo 100 was turbo with 4" mandrel straight thru no muffler .it whistled and was loud and offensive .

you wont have backpressure problems with the hilux's as the turbo keeps forcing things straight out.

Petrol cars are a different story, they need a certain amount of backpressure.

I have a DP Chip and Taipan XP exhaust. Wouldn't be without them.
