The Landcruiser thread...

Postby RonBacardi8 on Thu, 01 Aug 2013 3:57 +0000

G'day all,

Not a Hilux question but still a Toyota one:

I'm wanting the widest stance possible with the cruiser and was told there are only 2 options with rims for 315/75/r16 with the rim being 8" wide (don't want r16 10" wide as it increases the chance of rolling tires off the rim).

my options are 0 off set & -55 off set with the 8"wide rims. Will the -55 fit on the front with a 3' lift???

Cheers Ronny

You can fit 35x12.5r16 on the with a -12 offset 3" lift and no scrubbing. Just sit really close to the front bar. I run 285/75 with 0 off set plenty of room to spare with 2" lift even stock no scrubbing.

0 offset is standard on the gxl from what I understand? -55 seems a huge jump? -12 would be good I would have thought.

Do DC-2's come in 5 stud for the cruiser

I am running 16x8 with a -5 offset and they sit enough outside the flare enough to strip the paint off my rear guards from the stone chips
I can't see you being able to fit -55's ?

DC2's, the rims that Parr runs on his hilux, they are -12 but I can't find them in the 5 stud to fit the cruisers

I still find it hard to believe they are the same size as a Hilux, the DCs look massive almost too big. Sorry Ron off topic.

Will have a look around for -12 to -20. But if -55 didn't rub anywhere that would be pretty awesome

As per Ron's permission this is the "official newhilux landcruiser" thread. The topic title has been edited in the original post. All Landcruiser questions will be asked in this thread and perhaps in the future we may have a subheading forum to include Landcruisers into this forum.

Not wanting to be to personal but for a double cab gxl with a cheap alloy tray does 68100 sound a reasonable buy?
