When ordering this kit there are different small hose sizes and reducer sizes depending on which vehicle you have. I told them I had a hilux but they still got me to check my fitting sizes just to be sure so if they ask you need the 5/8" hose and reducers...
The fitting on the turbo is actually a 1 inch fitting (as you can see in the first 2 photos) so if you had more of the 1 inch hose you could run it directly from the turbo to the filter without the need for any reducers but the kit only comes with about a foot of 1 inch hose which isnt enough so if you were to tell them you need about a metre more of the 1 inch when you order then you could do this. This would also negate the need to cut the original pcv pipe.

Let me know what you guys think

A big thanks to Josh (Noidea) for the installation guide.
Installed the kit late last year:

Only had to disconnect the air filter duct

Ordered 1" hose as Josh suggested. Only had to use reducer and high temp RTV silicon on top (inlet) hose.
Routed the hoses slightly differently.

Nope, on a 2010 onwards theres no port at the bottom of the intake tube to route the hose back into. Its sat in the garage not doing anything

That sucks Helbound - I'm sure someone will be keen to buy your provent. Where do the gasses go and how do they get there on a 2010+? Any chance of a pic?

Hellbound are u saying the nib on the air intake can't be hooked up to the provent. As it does not work the same way as the bottem port

Can be but it makes it a super tight bend as the port up higher on that black airbox sleeve points back towards the engine. An elbow of some description would make it work but at the moment its still under warranty and the i already have to take out my chip and prefilter every time i get it serviced so i really cant be assed taking all this off too, which im sure they'll ask me to do to keep the warranty going ...

WTF :?: chip i can understand..but the pre filter?? they still floggin you that crap. My dealer doesn't have a problem with mine and when it went in for its first service the other day the salesman said they fit them in there now..change dealers mate :!: Or go private , as long as they are accredited and stamp your book and use genuine toyota filters warranty isn't an issue. The salesman was even surprised to see me bring it back  but for the capped price servicing its still worth it :?: :? :?

Yeah, you shouldn't have to take out the prefilter.

There are laws regarding warranty stating that aftermarket accessories do not affect warranty unless they are the definite cause of the problem.

Back on track, I have a provent kit sitting here but probably won't fit it to my 2012 just because I can't see a way to install it neatly and reliably due to the lack of space and where I'd have to run the hoses.

It's a shame, but I'll leave it out.

Most probably need to drill and tap another hole into the black pipework and face it towards the firewall, then blank off the existing port that faces the head

Can someone confirm what ID hose is required.

Rocker cover is 5/8"?
PV200 1" inlet/outlet
Intake 1"? or 5/8"??

Much appreciated.

5/8 - top hose: rocker cover to Provent inlet
1" - bottom hose: Provent outlet to Turbo

Hi KM, I do have a rattle now that you mention it but I didn't figure it was coming from the seperator. I have a rattle that sounds like it's coming from under the dash (right side)... I will have to have a look when I get back - could be the provent.

In the manual both inlet/outlet on the PV200 is 25mm(1"), so the rocker cover is 5/8"?

I have a 2012 SR, waiting for mine to be delivered. Surely it couldn't be too hard. Better there as its away from the Turbo and the rubber won't perish as easily..

You might have missed the part about the reducers from 'noideas' instructions at the beginning of the thread
Yep - rocker cover stub tube is 5/8
Both provent in/outs are 1"
You just need the reducer (pictured below is the 1" to 5/8 reducer) for the top inlet of the provent to go to the rocker tube.

Did mine on a 09 the other week mine has the nib on the air intake. Just took it around the intercooler pipe with out kinking it cabletie it to the air con hose then elbowed past break fliud thingy than straith into the provant witch is in ths same postion as pre post. The rocker hose comes across and elbows at the same postion as the bottom . I got some silver heat shef that i slid over the hoses and cut in half some off cuts and placed over the aircon hose so theres no rubbing .All so made a bracket to hold the provant in a postion that the elbows dont rub on the brake resvior thingy

After 20k of installation of this, there is less than 1 teaspoon of oil collected. I removed it to make room for other things. D4d does not need this.
