Chris, I think your version of the code recognition is more accurate as the 32 digit can indicate certain tolerances to the ECU and hence allow more even fuel injection in the engine.

Well the ebay shop told me they have done lots and lots of hilux injectors and only really run into trouble once or twice. I mean they have to guarantee thier work so I might save myself the 1000 buks and give them a go. I mean If they are the same injectors i cant justify the extra money.

Surely someone here has used them to fit the injectors once they bought them???

I fitted my new injectors myself, no new pipes, I'll take my chances.
The reason Westend use new pipes is because they do everything by the book as any professional company would.
The D4D injector pipes are hidden under the rocker cover on the injector end, so any fuel leak will not be visible, and unknown to you raising the engine oil level and diluting it.

Ok I found these. Any idea if these are the DLC ones? I can't seem to find any information on them. I sent a message to the Ebay company Hoping to get a response tomorrow or so.

What says that? At the top of the Ebay page it says, "4pcs. 06-11 Hilux Hiace VIGO FORTUNER 3.0 diesel fuel injector 23670-0L090"
Unless I missed something else.

Read the description. It mentions 2.5l and 3.0 l I'd be checking before I brought them.
Best way is the check the part numbers. There is info in this forum about the correct numbers

I used Charlestown Toyota because I live nearby but..... when I went in there they were completley mystified about what I wanted them to do. It took a lot of "explaining" on my part and eventually (believe it or not) a phone call to a Denso agent in Sydney. After that a considerable amount of time spent on their computer looking up god knows what and eventually my injectors were coded to the car. They must also program in a "reflash" at the same time if your new injectors are the latest DLC type. At the price you have been quoted they may not be...I would be double checking on that, no point putting the original type injectors back in and end up in the same boat in 12 months time. There is a Toyota dealer in Cessnock, give him a call and discuss it with him.
You'll be right on the install, just be VERY mindful of cleanliness while the injector pipes are open, record the numbers on the electrical connector on each new injector exactly as they are written, and record which cylinder each injector was fitted to as the numbers are different on each injector.
Also make sure you have not done the "key-in-ignition" mod to your Lux, otherwise the Toyota dealer will not be able to access the system.
PS.. make sure you wind the engine over by hand at least 2 turns before you start up after the install, as engine oil can leak down into the cylinders while the injectors are out causing a hydraulic lock...it happened on mine. There is a large hex in the centre of the crankshaft pulley you can use a socket on it.
PPS....it's perfectly O.K. to do the work at home then drive the vehicle to wherever you're getting the injectors coded, at worst it may idle rough.
Regards Chris.

Yer, got a quote of cessnock toyota and $1026 per injector, was gonna ring all 4x4 spares for a quote on 2nd hand injectors outta couple hiluxs with less than 1000km on them depends what they want for them to. toyota was probly looking on new hilux
So they are drivable once installed with no damage to engine? Wils still be getting them coded once in
Does the key in the ignition mod stop it from beeping when keeys are left in? Cause never beeped since ive brought it second hand

Yall might want to check diesel jones out of UK. I got them for $1300 US for the whole lot including shipping. Orig DLC denso injectors. I don't know what shipping to Australia would be but can't be that much more as the Aussy dollar has a higher exchange than US currently.

i just had my injectors replaced 07'' hilux with 150k on it.. had that terrible cold rattle. i went through a diesel injection workshop called dorans diesel in townsville they wholesale injectors to toyota  i pay'd $450 for each injector and they were the new updated ones on the 09+ hiluxes and they even took it to toyota to re-flash the ecu but my lux already had the updated software?

cheers scott
