High beam I'm fine with, but low bream has a wide spread but i dont think it's sitting high enough so I will work on that first . . .and I must agree they are slow to move. . . .

Pete,

Thats what i found that the spread on low was pretty wide, too me ages to adjust , first time around i was lighting up the inside of vehicles in the LH Lane, so had to re-think the adjustments of the beams...... Once sorted all good, are you going to change to HID i did , changed the whole profile.....

Ok, got my angel lights in the post yesterday, going to put them on tomorrow. Before i embark on the mission what steps should i follow for those who have done it already. Is there any wiring issues? I dont have a nudge bar or bullbar or anything do i still need to tak ethe front end off?

Cheers,

Jeff. . .

you will need to drop the front bar off, the wiring is easy, just plugged mine in for the main lights and tapped into the fog lights wires for the angle rings, but I'm still adjusting the main light to get the best out of them.

I did also put new blue ice globes in for the high/low beams before I fitted the lights to the ute

the light is so much brighter now. . . I will go HIDs soon . . . .

cheers

Pete. . . . :)

cheers pete,
I dont have any fog lights yet, was going to get some after I put these in but I really wanted to get these ones going today. So to get the halos going I have to get the foggies first cos they will come with the wiring??? did u just put your 5 LED in through your park lights? Might pop down to the store and try get some foggies now.

Thanks again,

just had a quick look at the front of my hilux....with the ARB bullbar you shouldnt need to remove it to fit the headlights as there is a removable moulding on the top of the bar to allow access to the bolts.

Just today I fitted a set of Philips HID globes to the standard headlights.......reasonably easy to fit and the results is amazing, I now have HID headlights, HID IPF spotlights and +80 Philips fog lamps....should be able to see my way now hahahhahaha

ok so got the lights in without to many dramas, but I bought a set of phillips chrystal bulbs whilst I was searching for some fog lights. Now the new halo head lights dont seem to take the same bulbs (H4) as the old lights. Did anyone have a problem with this, there is no indication on the packaging of the halo lights what the new size/style is. Also havent hooked up the 6 LED lights or the halos yet do these both run through the park light? did u guys just splice them together into the one wire?

thanks, I wasnt sure if you could splice both the LED and halo wiring into the 2 wire park lights without losing some power and didnt wanna cut the park lights and end up being wrong. I was going to buy a some OEM fog lights off ebay today from a place called Mars. Has anyone bought a pair of these and had any problems? I see the connection for the fog lights dangling down whilst i was doing the angel lights, so I assume its just a direct plug in job, do they just come on with high beams or low beams? I was wanting to set them up with a seperate switch in the cabin, how would i go about doing this? Thanks again guys, not to much experience with wiring these kinds of things.

In NSW Fog lights are required by law to be wired to the Parking lights and must have a seperate on/off switch.

dumb question but do the park lights stay on whilst the low beams come on? I was thining of wanting the led strip and halos on with the low beams on, wasnt sure if the parklights would do this.

One question for the guys who have put the projector headlights in.....is the light pattern that much better than the standard headlights?

The reason I ask, is that the standard headlights are crap! I've put 50W HID in mine which make them brighter, but the pattern is pretty bad & no matter how I adjust them I'm not happy.

So I'm also looking at putting the projector headlights in with 2x H1 HID kits to light them. Just thought I ask to see what sort of performance gain I can expect out of these lights before I spend the money!

Cheers
Tony

Projector head lights are not as good as most standard type lights and there are some standard lights that are far better then others.

A full style light will in most cases outperform projectors style lights, anything to do with lights is "big is better'.

The reason the manufacture uses projector lights is the size of the light itself and they can make the front of the vehicle more aerodynamic, safer and stylish.

Yeah its a hard one as there are so many variables....I'm hoping for someone who's made the change to say if its better, worse or the same.

I was really surprised to find how lousy the pattern from the standard light is...the light output (especially with HID's) is good, but the light seems to be going everywhere. My previous vehicle was a GU patrol with standard globes in it & the pattern was a nice light with clear definition & cut off on both high & low beams....maybe I've just been used to it for to long!

Thanks for your help.
