Yep Had a Bilstien let go on me. It Was in the middle of a Padock, outside of Warren in NSW. You can see how muddy it was and dont have to work out how hard it was to replace, in a farmers shed with basic tools.
As you can see it the shaft snapped off as well as the stem bending.
I dont blame the bilsteins though.... My progesssive bump stops failed, so there was nothing to stop the shock from topping out and after a few days of tearing through paddocks chasing pigs.....
An I just thought all that scrubbing from the front end meant that my springs has sagged a bit.... ha ha.
As luck would have it, while i was looking for a hammer in one of the sheds, I found a set of terrain tammer shocks that the farmer had ordered months ago and never put in. It was just a 4 hour round trip into Dubbo to get the springs and shocks assembled at Opposite Lock Dubbo.
I now have Rekon's in the Front....
