Hi,
I've just ordered a new SR5 D/Cab, T/Diesel, A/T, 4X4 with P/U body.
It will be the new Tech change Hilux (17" Rims, VSC & EBD).
This deal included the following:
Metallic Paint, Rhino spray-on liner, Reverse camera, Floor mats, Window tint & soft tonneau cover.
On the road with 12 mths license it will cost $ 58,000.

I'm told that this will not be delivered until 1st or 2nd week in October.

Does any body know what the specs will be on the rim's width and the tyres that will be fitted??

Hey Dabbott67, Congrads. I could have also but as the new model does have those goodies, it does miss out on LSD. Have a mate at Toyota that said due to the traction control and stability control the LSD was not required. So has been deleted from the line up. Hope this dosent effect you. I also had a budget myself and although i could have got a very similar package to what i wanted annyway for very similar money to you, i decided it wasnt worth it for me. I could get the current(soon to be superseaded) at a better price and still get some aftermarket goodies after i have purchassed the truck.I also am looking at runing 16's with good rubber and in the 17's for me annyway there wasnt as greater choice of rubber.
Besides that congrads to you as i know how it feels to just have ordered a new car :) hope you enjoy it.

The black thunder edition in WA was sold as a 2010 SR5 in Black with D4D Auto.

It came with matts, bonnet protector, window guards, tinted rear windows, reverse camera, hard lid, tray liner, tow ball, nudge bar and all the usual SR5 options.

It actually worked out as $52k for just the base vehicle.

I thought it worked out a pretty good deal with all the extras.

Have since add a 3" lift kit, wool seat covers, dual battery, GME UHF, Alpine Stereo, 3" Exhaust, sprint booster.

G'day benpascoe,

Was $55k the drive-away price for your Black-Thunder? or prior to S/Duty, Liscense etc.....

Also whats the deal with the sprint booster.....what sort of power increase??

I want to swap the 17" rubber for a descent A/T, but still don't know what will come on my new SR5 as STD or the Rim width......probably a Bridgestone H/T????

Gday,
I just got a new lux with a deal I could not say no too. I was after 4x4 SR5 duel cab diesel with around 100,000k with $35,000 to $40,000 to spend. I had some trouble finding a decent truck worth outlaying the money. I came across brand new ex undriven demo 4x4 2010 SR5 V6 duel cab for $45,888 drive away. I could not believe it and happily sacrificed the diesel for the price. Love the truck and having a come from a 2.8 diesel love the V6 motor. I recommend looking at the V6 and barganing hard as the last of 2010 models run out.

I have heard a rumor with the new upgraded model that with the traction control and other electronic aids
the truck cannot be lifted or tyre/rim size changed. If this is the case the lower spec trucks maybe more popular to those wanting a bit more offroad capabilities by adding lift and larger tyres.

Have fun with the new truck Oz Bruiser.

Hi,

That's a great deal Kenny_450, good work!

I've just ordered the new spec SR5 D/Cab, T/Diesel, M/T, 4X4 with no extras, full on roads with full tank of fuel for just under 50K. I was pretty stoked with this price till I read Kenny's post......thanks mate! lol Nah still very happy with the price I got, I just hope the new 17" rims look ok. I can't find info anywhere on the new spec lux and the dealers aren't much help either.

Hi Guys,

Now I'm confused! I just ordered the SR5 Double cab diesel yesterday and didn't know there was a new model on the way. Now I'm wondering what I'm going to get. Does anyone have any info on the new specs?
