^ Liking that canopy very much!!

I'm in the process of getting a "for sale" post together for my boxes and cage setup. Will be off the tools early this year and planning on building a dog friendly lockable setup like that. (which is what I had on my old MazdaBravo 7 years ago.

Here is a couple of my tray, it's not as sexy looking as some of the trays on here but i needed a good solid tray with headboards, mount tool boxes and headboards, it's made by silverback in cairns,

There is a 100l water or diesel tank that mounts up under the tray, I just haven't put it in yet.

And one of the old boys cruiser, custom made heavy duty aluminium tray,

dk90vr wrote:I am currently making a custom tray. If anyone is looking for some cheap, round LED lights I spent hours searching on the net and ended up at this place. http://autolumination.com/truck.htm they ship to aus! . I got the 2.5 inch round, they are only a 2 wire light but being in the trade i managed to rig up a relay and a diode to make them 2 brightness levels (parker and brake). I went to all this trouble because I couldnt find any led's smaller than 4inches and when I found these and at $7 each I couldnt go past. I will post some pictures of my lighting design when it gets a bit darker, I could also draw up a wiring diagram if anyone was interested also.

Well if anyone is interested here are the lights I was talking about. I was just trialing shapes and patterns on some cardboard deciding how I was going to design the back of my tray, just stuck it on the back of my old mans ute.

Here is parkers and reverse lights during the day

here is full brake lights and reverse at night(a little brighter)

Obviously indicators constant. Not sure if im happy with the backup lights, I havnt really had a look in the dark but still, they were only $10 each. Pretty good for a 100mm 3 wire (dual brightness) light. Sorry the images are a little large, click for full view.

Whats the longest you could safely go to fit motor bikes straight on a dual cab?

I've seen 1800 long trays on duel cabs they look a bit sill IMO to much over hang, 1500 or 1600 looks alot better.

most commercial trays are around 1800 - 1850 long

what I'd do is make the tray slightly shorter and then have an extension for when you have the bikes on
