Another new fella...in Kingaroy

Postby Ozniss on Sun, 20 Mar 2011 7:26 +0000

Hi all,
I have been checking on the site for a while (Its a great research tool) Had a bit of encouragement to put up my Lux.
Name is Matt, currently out at Kingaroy and I have a 06 Dual Cab, It has a few inches under it, Bilsteins an King coils, and re-tempered rear, 3" exhaust straight through of the turbo and currently running 305/70/16's and also a few other mods here and there, sliders etc.
Not looking to mod much further maybe a chip and a body lift down the line....
When I figure out how to post pics i will put em here or on a shed profile.

Hey Matt, welcome to the forum. It was good to catch up with you this arvo, I'm really liking your exhaust. I'm sure the guys on here will be interested in your tyre and wheel selection. Hopefully we can get out to the diggings soon to see how they go!

Sounds like a decent set up mate. What offset is on your rims? Do your tyres rub at all?

Hi Mitch,
The only rubbing I get is at full lock under full compression on the quarters but a bit of hammer work fixes all, I haven't had to trim the body mount as yet.

From what I remember the rims are a 0 offset

Should be more pics up in my shed today.

Sprocket and I checked out Matt's lux yesterday, It's definitely a good looking unit. Sounds pretty sweet with the straight through exhaust on it as well. I checked out the specs on his tyres too, they come in at 32.8" and honestly appear to only rub very slightly.
On the positive side, Matt is a fitter and a reasonable one at that if you check out the Sliders he's knocked up for the truck. I certainly won't hesitate to sign him up for any little jobs I need done on the truck.
I'm looking forward to getting out on a couple of the local tracks with him also.
I might be slow, but I'm rough.......
