I've posted in a few threads already, but i'll post an introductory thread so you can learn a little more about me!
My name is Aaron, I'm 24 and live with a housemate in Newcastle.
I'm a Coal Sampler in a PTL (physical testing laboratory) very close to home (4km's as the crow fly's) and have been in the same line of work for approx. 6 years now.
I am studying to be an accountant as well as working 5-6days a week.
I currently drive a manual VZ Thunder SS that i am looking to trade-in or sell to purchase a 07-08 extracab hilux (steeltray/tub), or if I find one that ticks all the boxes then 05-06 (05-08 = favourite shape), i plan to go for a custom steeltray in the end...
I'm extremely new to 4x4'n and am currently reading through the forums (or googling) all the terminology you guys throw around the forums.
Basically, i've been in the car scene since before I was 18, but find it's filled with arrogant snobs, and an allround juvenille crowd (with exceptions of course), not to mention the increased attention from the boys in blue! I'm looking for a more mature crowd to get to know and help out where i can (very giving to those who deserve it), and i feel that 4x4'n might just be the place to be.
I'm very much acting impulsively with my decision as i'm already pricing up parts/recovery gear, and thinking on how i want to customise a steel tray, so i've effectively jumped head-first into this idea, and it seems there is no saving me!
My Ute is up for sale on carsales, not sure if i'm allowed to link it here, so i'll leave it out for now, and i'm already looking at a '08 SR5 extracab with a steel tray
Anyways, any questions you might have, this'd be the place to ask 'em, so go for it!
