Sounds fair. Where are you mounting the tap?

I am mounting the tap just above my original filler cap to the side a bit between the Aux and main tank. should be nice and close to plumb to the main tank

Looks really good Ivan. You don't reckon tank that long needs baffles?

Ivan,
I have an 80 odd litre tank under my tray, above and forward of the original tank. Just extended the main breather to the top tank and it just drains into the main. There is no real need for a tap, as the fuel doesn’t leak out of the factory filler cap.
I’ve had the same setup in the last three Hilux’s with no problems.
Ashy.

Rod

The tank is made of 2mm stainless which is bloody strong. It has 5, 10mm rods through it which are welded on both sides. The tank is used a storage and not as a main tank that the pump draws from. It should not really move around to much as it will always be full or empty. I am pretty confident it will do the job its interned to do.

Ashy. Thanks for the advise, that;s what I have been waiting to hear from some one who has had one. The tap will be on the main transfer pipe from Aux to main tank, no tap on the over flow.

Well have not been on for a while here, work has been flat out. I am in the process of pressure testing it and tacking up the tiny leaks. Have tacked up 6 so far and after the last test still have 3 more to do. Does not take long to tack them up with Tig, what takes time is filling it with air and maintaining pressure for a day or two to try and find leak. Hopefully should have all tacked up and perhaps installed this weekend if work and wife permits.

Sorry in advance if this is somewhere but I really can't find it, how did this end up? Good or bad? Did it end up working well? I'm
Very interested in doing this.

Sorry for bringing an old thread back to life but if there is a new thread for a tank like this could someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks
