I'd be putting something over the end of your syn rope to protect it from UV. Some of these ropes aren't as UV stable as you think and all of them should be protected from it.

You'll attract onlookers now that you have pink bits too. Everyone will just think your other half wanted it on there and will think your a nice guy by allowing it. Use caution with your 12000lb winch, especially if you use a snatch block. You don't want to go bending stuff. I just bought a 9,500lb Warn as it closer matches the vehicles chassis strength, vehicles weight and won't stress things too much. 12,000lb is for Patrols and Land Cruisers imo. Our chassis are quite weak compared to the bigger boys.

Nice rig. I've been watching this thread from time to time.

Shaker.

Yea thought i would mention it to you. just incase you need to use it as a recovery point you can always check it after to make sure its not been too stressed!

Cheers Shaker, Maybe ill get an old bike tube and thread the rope through it Im sure that will be enough. My main reason for getting a 12000lb winch is i want to be able to recover my camper trailer along with my ute. The last thing I want to do is have to unhook my trailer in a awkward position and risk loosing it or damaging it. Having the 12000lb gives me the option of a quick and easy recovery.

Good to see you got the winch fitted up mate. When I hadn't heard from yourself or Rod for a few days I figured you had sorted something out.

Arh woops well I got it to fit

It was actually really easy thanks to the winch coming with a footprint layout, just line it up and center punch the holes, easy.

You're looks real good though mate.. just gotta get it out in the mud more !

Definitely will be gettin dirty more now i got some self recovery options available to me as none of my mates are into 4wding there street cars dont really make good recovery vehicles. I actually got stuck once and tried to get my old mans Audi Q7 into where I was stuck but its computers flipped out when it got to a small dirt hill   hence i used 2 ratchet straps to pull myself off the stump, very slow but it definitely works if your ever in a jam.

That was the day all the mods began as I dont ever want to be in that position again and now the handbrake always asks WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO STOP!! I dont know   prob when I after I get a dual cab.
