Alright so now abit about the interior.
Am constantly getting in the car wet and or muddy so these were a necessity!
Again got these off ebay [emoji14] its just so addictive!
was going to get black ducks but I got this whole set plus a free dash mat for the same price as the front seats in black duck
And to be completely honest I have black ducks in my work car and I would prefer these cheaper ones, for ease of fitment, how they fit on the seats and how they feel. Was very surprised!

New outback roof console. Could not recommend these enough! Quality built and the instructions are awesome, theyve literally thought of everything! you even get a bit of blue tack so your screws don't fall off the screwdriver when youre installing it alone [emoji1]
and the LEDs are bright as day!

Also the UHF and antenna went in at the same time [emoji1]

Spent a fair bit of time trialling different switches, originally the ute had only a 3 switch panel in front of the gear sticks and had the arb compressor and locker either side of the demister kind of like this

Image

I can't stand the look of mis matched switches (being an electrician) And 3 was just not going to cut it
So I opted for the 6 switch panel and the more OEM look push button switches
Also have a dual volt meter in there to keep an eye on the batteries in the engine bay. And a dual USB port for charging the GoPro and missus phone.

Image

I originally started out with blue switches but found these ridiculously bright at night so I tried green, these also seem to go with all the other dash lights which are predominately green too

Image

The symbol lights up when the switch is on.

Love the progress so far, very nice.

I just picked up an 07 looks almost identical to yours when you got it, snorkel, lift, high roof canopy etc..

I really like the look of those headlights on the car, i saw them on ebay and wasn't keen but on your car they look great.

Im going to get some flares organised soon glad to hear the utemart ones are good quality will get some from them, what width did you go with ?

keep up the good work, truck is looking great

Tyler1993 wrote:Also got some cheap sunnies with a 0 offset just to fill out the flares (will be getting some alloy rims eventually, open to suggestions!!)

Are they the same tyres from when you got the car, if not what size tyre did you go ?

Aiming for the wider stance look, car looks so much better than being flush against the guards

My truck last few weeks ago fresh from dealer.sitting on 245/75/16.Image

Hey mate, yeah they are the same size tire, they are 265/75r16
I definitely prefer the wider look but I plan on going to 285/75r16 or 305/75r16 and read that you have less dramas with the zero offset compared to a more negative offset.

So my roof rack and awning arrived today, few pictures installed
Was going to get the aluminium box powdercoated before I put it all on but I got a little too excited.
Its not really that noticeable anyway, so It will probably stay like that untill Im really bored.
And yes I can cut straight, tried to keep the line of the sports bar continuing rather than have it square. ImageImageImage

The Awning is a 270 degree wrap around awning as I mainly want the shade at the back of the tub because of the drawers and fridge and what not

Also during the week my supacentre draws arrived. I know, almost feels criminal buying the cheap and nasties from the supacentre but I could not see past the $395 especially when I was going to modify them anyway.

Because I only have the tonneau cover for now I wanted the fridge to be under the tub level. If it sat on the fridge slide like its suppose to this wouldn't have worked like I wanted, plus the fridge would then be too high up to grab stuff out of, especially for the missus!! [emoji1]

So I got to work cutting the original fridge slide in half so the fridge can sit inside the actual drawer.

ImageImage
The end idea is that Ill only ever undo the back of the tonneau cover and flip it over.
Then slide the fridge and drawer out to create the kitchen
