No Alby, I'm not related to dute  just find it gives you an extra couple of metres of vision and you can see what the other side of a drop off looks like in advance 8-) .

Ross, I believe those tracks were from the kleenheat gas delivery truck... I haven't put duels on yet....hmmm, there's an idea. :!: a set of clip on duels, like on some tractors....

Edit: measured exactly how much more I can see out the front ;) 15 feet or 4.6 m to be precise 8-) can see right up to 30 cm from front of bar now 8-)

Re: Oggy extract's a digit (finally) ARB twin compressor ins

Lashed out on a twin ARB compressor nearly 12 months ago ;) Been sittin in shed up until 3 weeks ago :? Finally decided how i wanted to set it up
Image
Twins are a bit of a prick to get under the bonnet of a 2012 , and there isnt a lot of room in the compartment under the extra cab rear seats :? I did contemplate mounting it up under the tray (since they are meant to be fully sealed), but the thought of a $500+ compressor rusting under the tray didn't excite me :? So i thought bugger it , in the toolbox you go my friend 8-) I wanted as much air flow as possible so i didn't go with the pissy 1/4 inch lines or the crappy braided stuff :( Went for 3/8 hydraulic 2 wire hose from the compressor to tanks , as it can handle a lot of heat and over 2200 psi 8-) made the hoses up myself ,so i could get the lengths spot on 8-)
Image
Image
Went for twin 9 liter Air on board tanks, linked with 10 mm black plastic air line and an outlet on either side of the tray behind the cab. Again used the 10 mm black plastic airline with the nitto push in fittings.
Image
and finished it off with a couple of male hydraulic hose coupler covers to keep the crap out 8-)
Image
Works a treat,no extra pressure switches or valves or regulators. turned her on after a week and the compressor didn't start , so holds a charge like a champ 8-) (and yes it does work  )

Ogman..what is the output on the twins? Going to have to look into a new compressor myself, nice set up mate. Think I may pop in and say G'day after all and bring my socket set with me :?

I'm rapped with it all, ajh, Some of my mates thought that it was a factory option, so was pretty happy with that 8-)

Kyle, it depends on the load. Quoted figures are 174 lpm @ 0 psi. and 132 lpm @ 29 psi . Pressure switch is 150/ 135 psi, by using a couple of tanks you get a shit load more air before it drops off. 8-) 8-)

So, brought a few cheap ebay light bars and whacked em on all of our quads
Image
Work a treat 8-) 120w , figured if i can't kill them on a bike in the mud, water and shit , then surely they would survive on the lux 8-) . So went for a 120w bar again but a single row in 10w .
Image
Image
Damn its good 8-) Range is every bit as far as high beam but at 10 250 lumens its freaking awesome. Looking at getting a pair of 11 inch ones to put in the hoops on the side of the bar to give a bit more light to the side , for those sneaky hoppers :? Oh, just a word of advice :? when you are setting a bar up, don't be tempted to "look into the light" saw spots for a good 10 minutes :( :?

Theif :o I'd pondered about using hydraulic hose for the same job, more so on an endless air setup due to the heat off the engine 8-)

Very neat work on your build 8-) but come on, fess up, what's held on by fencing wire or hay band???

    :? At the moment i think I'm about the only thing that is held together by fencing wire :?

The young bloke came home from school the other day to find that the lux had grown one of these
Image
He's more keen than me to try it out. I told him perhaps i could put an air compressor outlet in the cab and we could pressurize her, move the camera to the top of the snorkel and there you have it submalux  Little shit thought it was a great idea

Bloody great idea! Starter motor and power steering won't last long doing that as I found out.

20,000k service the other day. Asked them to do the factory fuel filter as well (apparently they do it at 40,000 unless you ask  ). Anyhow this is how she came out
Image

Pretty happy with that ;) Primary is obviously catching a lot of the crap ,as are the filters on our overhead tanks 8-) Certainly won't be changing it any sooner than that in the future 8-)

Well it is a over head farm tank and that is a Rocyo filter. After talking with the customer he said he would change his over head tank filters. Whether he did or not I don't know. But that had only done 5000 and the complaint was lack of power.

So got the fuel filter light sorted. Had to go to Wagga after Henty field days, and copped my fourth light :? Bypassed my primary to see if that was causing to much resistance (i hadn't changed it at that stage   ) and bugger me still got the damn light at Lockhart (50kms) reset and made it home this time (120). So changed both and haven't had a problem since 8-)

Then on Sunday i decided to give the MR diff drop kit a go ..All good no real issues there although the center bolthole on the pumkin side of the diff did decide that it wanted to start to cross thread :? so whacked a tap in and all good.. again.

Then came the coil overs.....got passenger side in and drivers side removed by dinner and finished off the next day. Not the most fun job on your own but holding your tounge in the right place and engaging your brain seems to work  Now comes the fun bit...sway bar was touching coils at rest, so rang Matty and a set of relocates are on there way 8-) (top work Matt.)In the mean time i chose to remove the sway bar to avoid any rubbing....and my god its like driving a battleship   much worse if you have the dms shocks wound out :? but even with them in she still floats along

DMS progressive coil over's in 8-)

Currently sitting about 60 mm above what it was....but no doubt that had sagged badly. Need to do something with the arse end before the front goes any higher :?
