I figured I would go ahead and start a build. I have been reading all through the forum and more or less know where I want to go with the truck for now. I have done a couple of small mods,but am ready to put some major changes into her. I'll start with the truck how I got her.
17" FJ rims, running boards, flares, trailer hitch, basicly stock.
I have already done the rear seat folding mod. Did the Differential breather mod today.

All the supplies I used. Had to make do with what I could find in the city. (3rd world hardware/auto parts stores are... different)

Toyota said the needed part for the rear breather was not "in country" so I made do with a fitting from hardware.

Tied it off and ran it over and into the frame. All the way up into the engine bay.

Teed them all four together with brass fittings and ran it to fuel filter. Left an extension of hose to add a air filter later.

Soon to come I have a custom Bull guard that is being made. I have already ordered Iron man front suspension which I need to ship from the states to here. And I am in the market for mudders. I have my heart set on 265/70 17 Goodyear MTRs.

Thanks man. The guy who sold me the truck wanted to keep them! We threw in a extra thousand and he reluctantly let go. They will look tops when i throw the 32" mudders on there. 0 offset will mean a bit of trimming, but I'm ok with that.

Ok not a mod but it is work on the truck so I consider it part of the build. The previous owner had bashed the connection of the lower wishbone. I bent the frame back out but that just allowed room for the damaged bushing to start rattling. So replaced both bushings on lower wishbone.

Knocked the old ones out pushed the new ones in a little welding, grinding and some touchup paint. Presto good as new!

Thanks! I pushed them in with a bar clamp, and yes it was difficult. Removing the old ones was a task too. Took me a good 4hrs all in all.

Yeah we do a lot here in our workshop with the right tools and it still takes about an hour each side. 4 hours is not bad at all

Getting the air conditioning worked on today. Mine is one of the 06's that came w/o the incab filter. They had to replace the condenser coil because of a leak,but you can see the filth on the old coil. Needless to say I will be adding a filter.

Arrived in the USA and look what was waiting for me!

Now to get the tires and arrange shipping back to Honduras.

Installed Ironman extended shackles and rear shocks last weekend. Had the struts and coils installed today along with a set of 265/70 R17 Good Year MTRs. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. Much better ride about 1.5" of lift. Only a little bit of scrubbing on the mud flap. I'll have to pin them back. I'll try to post pics tomorrow.

Didn't get it to fully flex but I have a good idea.
I have 2 problems though and a question if anyone knows an answer. First my truck sits on a tilt. The left hand side (drivers side here) sits about 4-5mm lower than the passenger side. The new coils said one was for the drivers side and one the passenger side although when installing I did not see any marking. I think it is possible they are backwards.
Second the front left tyre rubs my mud flap where the right hand side doesn't. They both clear when flexed and I expected to have to pin back my flaps anyway. But I can't help but think that the tire could be shifted forward with the wishbone and realigned. Wish I had caught it when the guy was doing my alignment.
I also got Iron Man extended shackles and when I was installing them with the rear shocks they did not seem any longer than the original.
But the back end still got a lift when all was done. I did not figure shocks alone would lift her much.

32" tyres rubbing a little on mud guard so I pinned them back. 1/8" plastic coated cable and one screw per side.

Been waiting on my custom bullbar for too long now. While repairing damage to the plastic bumper I noticed two holes where driving lights had been previously. So I decided why wait?

switch and wiring harness came with replacement fog lights so I utilized it here.Upside down to indicate driving lights? We dont have an arb dealer with in 3000 km.

Trailer lights were next on the agenda. So I put a hole in my bumper to avoid them getting ripped off on a rock or something.

Wired it directly into the factory wiring.

Cleaned everything up nice and tidy.
