The Grey Goose

Postby MarkYounger on Mon, 28 May 2012 12:03 +0000

Snorkel install started last night, it got dark so finished this morning. (Sunday morning here)
ImageImage
I painted all the holes then put a touch of the blue silicone on them during install as a added protection.
Also with my Snorkel I ordered a pre-filter from Outerwears.
ImageImage
Took a little over 3 hours of work time start to finish. The hardest part was getting the inner wheel arch off.

Some times my truck amazes me at how much it can handle. 4L and up some pretty steep hills just crawled on up.

Seriously hope it went well for ya. Like everyone says follow the template can't go wrong.

This last week we took a couple day trip out to another river valley. Here are the picks I took and I'll try to get more from the other guys soon.

In this first video the river was low. The second we crossed about 15- 20km up stream after 2 days of rain.

The mud right after the second one was fun, don't think we got any pics though.

As there have been many threads on it lately thought I would show my reverse/cargo lights. Just a couple of cheapo halogen lights.

In the last pic you can see my most current mod. A 200+lb sandbag making the rear ride smoother on our very bumpy road

I like your comfort spring modification. A bit of weight makes them right heaps better

Installed injectors, water separator and lights today only have to connect switches tomorrow.
With the new injectors a lot of the noise went however there is still a definite knock. Sounds like it is coming from the top of the motor. Any ideas?
