Another 2 inches on top of my 1" body lift, Its not ideal but its only temporary until I save enough for a MR lift. At least I will be able to fit and have my tyres not scrubbing as soon as I start flexing off a gutter. Also just ordered my MR flares to cover up these 17 x 9's! Cant wait to get my BUDS gear and have it all together :D :D :D

So here is a pic of my Hilux how it sits with 2" suspension lift and 1" body. Still need to reset the tray up an inch in its brackets. Looks a bit funny with the standard rubber on it, there is so much room in the wheel arches!!!

Defiantly not a necessity but who doesn't love a good sound system thinking about getting this kit off eBay and an aftermarket Polaris head unit with Hema maps and a reverse camera for the misses.

Played around on the weekend and cut the muffler out extended the pipe back to over the diff just to give it a little bit of a note and this weekend i'll be fitting an EGR block plate and some extended length rear shocks from Monster Rides and hopefully get those MR flares on so I can run my decent rubber.

Picked up a good deal at the Brisbane 4wd expo. A little bit of protection for the motor and injectors.

Score, how was show?
How'd you go with the previous update of extending the pipe and fitting the shocks?
Cheers,
Jay

Yeah the show was great, Good day out with the boys talking shit about each others 4wds and what not. Didn't get a chance to play with the car might have a toy around this arvo and I'll take some pics of what I did with the exhaust i'm real happy with it especially since it didn't cost me anything to do.

Here are some pics of my exhaust chop and change, it makes a nice note with good whistle and no drone on the highway.
I just chopped right at the start of the muffler and undid at the join just above the diff turned around the tail pipe butted it up to the cut and welded together then made a bracket for a rubber mount and your done. It's easy and simple!

Also fitted the EGR blanking plate last night it was easy enough to do and I have noticed a quicker spool time with it.

...so I just read up on EGR Blanking plates, had no idea what they were!
Easy to do? I'm assuming it's a pretty safe must do mod by the sounds of it?
Cheers,
Jay

Yeah mate was a piece of piss my mate has his own diesel shop and a current Hilux said he swears by it, keeps the recycled gasses out of the motor.

Engine bay is getting a bit crowded with the new 2nd fuel filter in place.

Just a quick question, are they differential breathers next to the ARB air compressor, if so what brand?

Been reading up too... and it's made me nervous. It's become problematic for some.

Going to get and install a catch can instead for mine.

No its not a breather running back up near the compressor its just the front locker air line as the front diff was currently out and just ran the line up out of the way. I run my breather lines up behind the back seat in the cab.

These days being older and wiser I don't go looking for mud and the misses loves going to Fraser so muddies aren't the most practical tyre for me, when I wear out my current couple of sets of wheels I'll be going the new Mickey Thompson ATZ's as they are a super aggressive All terrain with remarkable on-road traction so a good all rounder for the places I like to take the car.
