Got the interior light all wired up and just have to do the brake light and make up a bracket to mount my max tracks on the roof rack because the distance between them is a little big.

So I just picked up a water tank and looking at securing it in the tub as shown in the picture I was thinking about riveting a couple of tie down brackets on the front part of the tub and then use ratchets I will then build a wooden panel that covers the box and pump / fittings from any other gear in the tub.
Any other ideas for securing this sort of tank or recommendation other than rivets for the tie downs.
Cheers.

Looking at the tank there is no outlet at the bottom. Unless you get a new outlet plastic welded in (probably cost more than the tank cost you) you will not be able to use the last 1/3 of the water in the tank. Those tanks are made to mount flat as in under the tray I think.

Yeh it is meant to be mounted flat but I will still be able to use about 45 of the 60 liters that will do me just fine considering i got given the tank I have now mounted it next to my storage box and just waiting on a pump to arrive will get some photos of the finished job soon I might even try and set my pump up to suck from the bottom of the tank shouldn't be to hard

Just finished fitting these this morning fleabay specials but they are not bad at all I will get some pics of them at night and put them up
Image
Also got these little LEDs for reverse lights they are super bright the main reason I got them was for the size.
And having them mounted there I don't get reflection from the bar looking through the camera.

I've posted thus in another thread but will put it up here aswell I'm moving my compressor from behind the back seat into the canopy and want to wire it into my baintec fuse block is it ok to wire it in and use the build in switch or do I still need to run a relay. It will be about 300mm from the fuse block
Cheers.

So I went back to mr Toyota today to get my transmition looked at after I started having trouble selecting reverse gear i was told over the phone come on down we will change the fluid free   of charge and see how that goes when I get to mr Toyota quote we can't see any problem it's working fine
Didn't even check the fluid.but that will be $80 please So I politely told them to suck my balls and went down the road to a professional
Took the sump off change the filter flush the system and new fluid all for $300 sweet now I know it's not the fluid or filter.
I would of happily paid mr Toyota if they were actually going to do something and not just say yep it's all ok. When clearly it's not.
This is the old fluid after 60,000k.

Anyone that has not looked at the tranny fluid really should as its been said before its not going to last as long as Toyota say it is.

Just finished installing my new rear springs I couldn't put it off any longer and it was doing my head in researching what's good and what's not and have not been able to drive the lux for about a month now so opted for the tough dog constant load medium duty springs and greaseable shackles. I was not after a big lift from what I already had but the rancho add a leaf could not hold up the weight of the canopy and extra gear I had.
First test drive was great handles the corners really well and hopefully the load its going to get next week when I head up north for a couple of weeks.
Cheers

Bit of an update I got my custom rockers installed last night pretty happy with how they look except the one on the right is a bit out of wack because of the position Toyota put the factory switch for the spotties but you get that. All wired up and working properly except the demister if anyone has replaced the factory switch could you please let me know what wires do what.
New LEDs just arrived also to do the rocket door lights. :D
Cheers
